Comey messed up, for sure, but it seems like a trap was set for him, and Trump was waiting for the moment that Comey made any mistake or showed any weakness to kick him out. Not much more sophisticated than a storyline on “The Apprentice.”

His misstatement during his recent testimony looks like just a convenient excuse. Note that this comes so close to Yate’s recent testimony, which Trump freaked out about. Let’s see what happens with the Russia investigation after his replacement is confirmed.

We need a special prosecutor, like yesterday. No way the guy who is going to replace Comey will be independent in the Russia investigation.

I posted on Giz that it’ll probably be Sheriff David Clarke knowing Trump.

He absolutely deserved to be fired for what he did to Clinton. But let’s not kid ourselves that he was fired for that reason. He was fired because Trump is afraid that Comey is on to something. This is beyond Watergate levels of corruption. We need a special independent prosecutor to oversee that investigation.

Clintons and Obama? No no, the wall you want to be in is the Trump household... desperately trying to figure out who they can appoint who will drop the Russia connection bit

I have no love lost for James Comey, who I do think impacted the election, and no I don’t think HRC was blameless.

Undocumented people should feel safe from deportation in some places, or else you will create a shadow society that will not cooperate in any way with the police or anyone else. If undocumented immigrants feel too afraid to go to court, they will never show up to court, meaning that the state and local government will

How do these people manage to put their own clothes on every morning, let alone run the country?

Anyone noticing that most of the liberal heroes right now are women?

So, when Spicer accused Obama of failing to vet Flynn, he really meant that Obama failed to tackle Trump to the ground and physically restrain him from hiring Flynn.

At this point “identity politics” just means “anything that doesn’t directly benefit white men.” White men advocating for themselves to the exclusion of everyone else totally doesn’t count because they’re the default, not some weird other like the rest of us.

They’re out there chuckling and high-fiving each other while making a half-assed attempt at 2020. Just go around saying “Clinton 2020" if you want to see an epic toddler meltdown among those cheesefucks.

You are not fighting, you are being attacked.

Attention Bernie Bros and dudes who bashed Clinton: You’re enormous assholes.

Interesting perspective from the healthcare industry, thanks!

they call it an identity issue even though it is very much an economic one

“Just ask any liberal dude who thinks women’s reproductive rights should always be political bargaining chips (“because Roe vs. Wade will never be overturned so it looks like we’re making a concession!”) but never something like the mortgage tax credit or student loan interest rates.”

I totally agree with all of this. Men who feel they have been pushed aside because of class status, and even those who do not, don’t want to admit that they have any kind of advantage and then they wonder why we’re so upset that abortion is the first thing to get thrown under the bus. Then they call it an identity

But on a more serious note, the more I observe the reactions of men on the horrors of misogyny, the less I see it as general cluelessness and more not wanting to admit they got a leg up over other people. Have you ever seen how a white guy reacts at the slightest hint that he owes some of success to his skin color and
