Rey already knew how to fight with her staff, that was shown to us on Jakku when they tried to take BB-8 from her. They even deliberately told us she didn’t know how to use a blaster. It was also called “The Force Awakens.” The Force appeared to wake up inside her, no? We do not know her origin or backstory. We also

People keep leaving this out because it’s fashionable to just bash away. Kylo Ren had just been shot by a powerful weapon, and was badly wounded. There’s a reason they had been foreshadowing all the “I LIKE THIS GUN!” stuff, and showing bodies flying willy-nilly when Han or Chewie blew people up with the bowcaster.

...After he was shot by the goddamn bowcaster. That shit sent regular troopers flying 20 feet. He took it like a champ. Plus he was toying with Finn and Rey most of the time. He didn’t realize she was a credible threat till he was already sliced.

Rey was clearly skilled in hand to hand combat and melee weapons. Kylo Ren was struck in the side by a bowcaster and had just finished a fight against Finn. She’s also clearly very force sensitive and powerful.

In spite of terrestrial and extraterrestrial threats to his adopted home planet, Superman gives up his superpowers and leaves the Earth at the mercy of three genocidal supermaniacs. I am under the impression that very few people on the site actually watched BvS. Hence their surprise

Just more evidence that despite how strongly this place and its commenters talk about this stuff, they don’t shit about film or comics. Came to accept that during the Deadpool Best Picture articles.

Even if you’re not versed in the comics.

Dude, this is basic comic book stuff. How can io9 be so opinionated about this stuff and not know something this basic?

The Mother Box isn’t a reveal. It was pretty goddamned apparent to anyone who’s read the comics that it was a Mother Box (and therefore, connected to Darkseid and Apokolips).

... the war Doctor?

My new favorite gif:

That post is funnier than anything I could have come up with. Clearly, it was created by my nemesis! Quickly, time to get to work. Da-da-da-da-da-da-daadadadaddadadada...

C’mon, how did Dora vote for the Mandarin Candidate?

If we have to have an American Doctor, surely...

They might even be able to adapt the crossover comics.
