Absolutely this. Putting it directly on food is a trick to get young children to eat something.

A woman I worked with put ketchup, in very liberal doses, on EVERYTHING.  Three day old Chinese food?  Smother it in ketchup!  Out at a Mexican restaurant and want to add something to your carne asada?  KETCHUP.  It was very bizarre and she was ashamed of her addiction, but it was one of the most endearing things…

Honestly if your car is burning that much oil, forget running synthetic oil. Just buy the Supertech conventional oil from Walmart, it’s like $16 for a 5-quart jug.
