I read schurette’s comment as saying, not that cheating is fun or great or not a big deal, but that the narrative behind a lot of cheating is often a lot more complicated than “one spouse bad, other spouse good.”

I like births. I’m in favor of births. I know a lot of midwives and OB/GYNs that like births and have made their careers making sure births happen. Being pro-birth isn’t a bar to being pro-choice. Those people aren’t pro- anything that you or I aren’t pro-, except for being pro-restrictive laws on abortion.
I think it’s important to note - especially in talking about suits against God and similarly frivolous topics - that there is a vast difference between letting a suit get filed, which just means that the court accepts a slip of paper, and letting the suit proceed beyond an initial motion to dismiss.
Thanks for the condescension. I don’t know why a Title VII question would be on a Con Law exam, so maybe you need to reconsider your legal education.
No, because that’s not how the law works.
President of the United States is the single job for which “ability to drive well” is the most irrelevant.
what’s going on in MY head about your choices
Man, as soon as you said his sister called you, I said, “that guy is NOT dead.” What awful people.
I pointed directly to a quote about the Greek system fostering racism. I’m not sure why you want to go to bat to make sure a bunch of racists don’t have to change. I can lead you to the water, but if you want to carry the water for racists, go ahead.
You can argue that the presence of a Greek system caninstitutionalize pre-existing problems like racism or classism or rape, but it certainly doesn’t create those problems.
I don’t know what you want for online news articles. They don’t provide scientific verification.
Why does it matter? A lot of these articles have emphasized how the fraternity structure helps to foster rape, racism, and a general sense of impunity. Earlier this week, there was an excellent article about how the Greek system itself helped foster racism; essentially, on certain southern campuses, the sorority or…
The Dead Milkmen had it right.
I thought St. Vincent was quite good for what it was. It was a reexploration of well-traveled territory, but it was a very well done reexploration. I thought Bill Murray working through the symptoms of his stroke was pretty compelling stuff.
It would be better coming from any queer ladies out there, but I know a lot of women who would find this incredibly rude:
Good job all you politeness heroes, reminding us all in the comments that it’s rude to cheer when you’ve been asked not to. That is definitely the issue here.
On board the Hermione:
This all contrasts nicely with how Jezebel always carefully discusses all the reasons why various writers and editors depart, in great detail and with great transparency.
Swine objects to pearls being thrown at him. Film at 11.
It is a really old news day at Jezebel. Mallory announced this two months ago.
