Starring to agree - marketing did a great job highlighting the father’s story, to coincide with Father’s Day - theatre I went to was packed with families, lots of guffaws from dads.

I think you touch on it earlier, it’s easier to understand their mindset as the “I want it all, and I want it now” mindset, where the naivete of youth means they don’t understand the face on the other side of the screen is a real person, with needs that might not align with their own.

I kind of want to see similar statistics for when the first iterations of cruise control came out, and whether such effects as “sharp turn ahead”, poorly graded curves, wet roads and the like had similar impact.

It certainly seems like moderate Republicans no longer show up to primaries, instead electing to remain as ignorant as possible about anything other than that R after the candidate’s name.

W’s use of signing statements to effectively accomplish the same thing at an earlier stage... better or worse?

It’s a little more fine-grained... one must be explicit about what one collects, and anything outside of what is explicitly listed as necessary for the service is not allowed if the user opts out. Facebook doesn’t require much up front, and doesn’t tell the user much about what they’re collecting yet. Amazon collects
