Exactly. This entire process was essentially a job interview. If you look at just his answers and behaviour from the last two weeks, would you really want this guy in your workplace?

Even if you buy his stupid argument that being a virgin (ha!) means he couldn’t have sexually assault anyone, when you take the sex out, what’s left? I’m curious as to the proportions of death threats that are specifically about Ford ‘derailing’ the confirmation of a Republican candidate, and those that are just regular ‘slutty slut’ death threats. (Any death threat is heinous and cowardly, but I like to know the exact kind of crazy I’m dealing with.)

Drug testing is definitely one of those situations where if it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for you, buddy. There’s no reason to blanket test welfare recipients except to shame them, especially if the result is to rip away their benefits, not divert them into rehab.

Dogs are just as sensitive to their handlers’ body language as they are to whatever substance they are supposed to detect. If the handler’s interest is piqued, the dog is more likely to indicate a false positive to please them. And a positive indication from the dog is probable cause to search, so...

I get your point and I agree. The sheer blindness to historical reality and statistical probabilities still gets to me tho (although given who we are talking about, shouldn’t surprise me).
