This, yes. And in his time there Fulham DID achieve a lot, largely thanks to the man himself. He effectively saved their spot in the PL in his first season. He was a major piece in 2008-09 when they finished 7th in the league and got a Europa League spot. Then he was key again when they had their crazy run in 09-10

I think Patrick is drawing a line between Spurs and Fulham in regards to hugeness.

Clint Dempsey had more than just one decent season at Tottenham. He had one fantastic season at Fulham, one other pretty damn good season at Fulham and several other decent seasons at Fulham where he saw time in most all games.

Low key best part is Brown painting his helmet similar to the Raiders colors and trying to sneak it on field like some cartoon villain wearing a mop to pretend they have long hair.

What do you have against Parker Lewis?

Wow, you are a nasty piece of work. To read all of this material and just dismiss it in favor of judging others and stating how superior you are. Truly incredible.

Right, but the whole point of the article is that they did not leave their children to die in a hot car because they were “busy at work.” I’m surprised that’s all you got out of Gene Weingarten’s work on this subject.

“BRC owner Stephen Gore...”

I’m biased because I live here but yes, Toronto’s weather is generally fine outside of having cold and snowy winters. More or less it’s the same weather as New York.

No cap, no max contract size, no draft, no college basketball, and the bottom four teams at the end of each regular season get relegated to a semipro league and replaced by that league’s top four teams.

Hey, Nintendo actually put all of My deleted Maker 1 levels named pile of poo back up and told me it was due to mass reporting. Thanks for the speculation

Mr. Softener isn’t completely wrong. Calling a guy “Mary” can be misogynistic and homophobic. My only point has been that there was a time and context where it wasn’t.  And let’s face it, we’ve all had to hit the Aloe Vera sometimes.

My original reply to you was not about Peck’s use of the term “Mary”. It was very clearly about a historical use of the term, where people who did NOT see gender non-conformity as “less than” used it in a way that was NOT a homophobic put down.

Absolutely. There is not, and should not be any particular type of gay person that is is seen as the sole socially acceptable expression of gayness. But more than 40 years out of the closet has taught me to be suspicious of gay people who go out of their way to make it clear what kind of gay person they are not.

For using a woman’s name with reference to a man to be “belittling”, you must first agree that women, or the gender non-conforming, are somehow “less than” males. THAT is misogynistic.

My point was that traditionally, calling someone “Mary” was NOT homophobic, but rather was used to challenge that person’s internalized homophobia.

Historically, one gay man calling another “Mary” wasn’t putting him down for being gay, but rather putting him down for not owning it. To call someone “Mary” was to say “I see the gayness that you think you’re hiding”

The paradox of tolerance is that to be a tolerant society, society must be intolerant of intolerance. But it’s necessary because otherwise you just get this equivocating, both-sides bullshit, while people are being actively harmed.

Hey! Give Bernie a break! It just became 2019! You can’t expect Bernie Sanders or white progressives to give a fuck about Black people until atleast next year!
