Suggestion for newbies: turn off the sound until you see people on the screen. The opening monologue is weak, and spoils some of the surprises later in the film. It’s a much better experience to go in entirely blind and figure it out as the characters do.

How is ‘Blade Runner 2049' not on here? I loved it every second of it...and while I don’t expect that to be the case for everyone, I haven’t read any bad reviews beyond saying it was a bit long and slow. Frankly, that is the biggest thing it has in common with the original, and it’s part of it’s character.
