I was about to say the same thing. From what I’ve read getting below 14/12nm is so difficult, that most nand manufactures have just tried to find other ways to increase efficiency/speed without shrinking the die. A perfect example is Samsung’s “V-Nand” ssd’s. Instead of cramming more transistors onto a single plane,

“I bet you hate that.”

That’s nowhere near as clever, or as convincing, as you seem to believe it is.

Thank God you cleared that one up.

I ain’t watchin’ a 22-minute video trying to convince me tapes sound good any more than I’m watchin’ anything trying to convince me mayonnaise tastes good. Tapes are the mayo of the music world.

I don’t....I don’t understand what I’m looking at. Have I finally become old?

And you’re probably THAT guy. They sucked and they hissed and didn’t even auto-reverse until later.

Alternative headline:

You have to take into account that The Motion Picture came out in 1979... there was a good possibility that, up until that point, a large percentage of people had only watched the old show on a small black-and-white TV. All the “starship porn” bits were to let the audience know that Trek was back for real.

Or they couldn’t read and stole the books to use for their cannon wadding.

I have a fondness for Undiscovered Country and Voyage Home (Wrath of Khan is good but overrated. I’m not afraid to say it!) but First Contact really deserves more recognition. It’s a great movie which I think gets ignored because people generally write off the TNG movies as being awful. Well, they are, except for

Not a SM fan. In fact, I find everything he’s done to date, including his western messterpiece, written for seven-year-olds.

I wanted to be Will Riker when I was a kid. When he came to Calgary for our Expo the first time, I got an autograph. It was super early and there was no line so I got to talk with him for a few minutes. I’ve done a number of conventions and met a few of my idols, but Frakes was the only one I acted like a total idiot

Unless you’ve actually tried that and then you realize it doesn’t work because Netflix ain’t dumb and they block all popular VPN ips

It seems extra crazy when you see the two numbers next to each other and think about everything you get from Prime (free video streaming, 2-day delivery, music downloads, book downloads, etc.) for $99 a year, and then compare it to $120 a year to watch Star Trek: Discovery...

If you are going to post a video instead of an article, make it obvious so we can skip it instead of clicking and being disappointed.

You still have to pay extra on top of your $99-a-year Amazon Prime subscription to get CBS All Access. Currently only the $9.99 per month tier—which grants ad-free streaming—is available,

I hate that everything is a freaking video. I’d like to just read some stuff at work in between different tasks. Helps keep me from burning out.

You know, not all of us have the freedom to watch videos while at work...
