He basically craps on the liberal ideas of his daughters and advises them with sage wisdom, in turns. In this fantasy land he manages not to estrange his children by constantly mocking them. It appeals to some, but clearly not enough to stay on air.

I don’t know what depresses me more, the fact that this aggressively unfunny show lasted as long as it did and even got decent-ish ratings or the fact that there is so much outcry over this being cancelled while other legitimately good shows die quiet deaths every season with little to no fanfare.

This stupid show has been on for six years? I’ve never even heard of it.

I obviously haven’t seen the show, but how does a regular ol sitcom espouse conservative values? What were the plotlines? A daughter gets pregnant because she’s only ever had abstinance only education and Tim Allen forces her to carry it to term but doesn’t contribute to the upbringing of the child?

This was still on? I thought it had been cancelled years ago.

You know what? I can’t even be annoyed at him anymore. This is just exhibit #573 on Trump’s bottomless need to be the most loved person in the room, at the cost of everyone else.

Everything he does makes perfect sense when viewed through the lens that he literally thinks he is the only person in the world. Everything revolves around making sure other people know how much power he has, how much money he (allegedly) has, how many ‘hot’ young wives he can have and are appropriately awed by him.

I am a handicapped NYer, and let me tell you, people DO NOT GET UP for me, the elderly, or pregnant women. They do not care. In fact, when I do manage to get a seat on the train or bus I often offer my seat to the elderly or pregnant. People are awful.

You know, I understand his mentality here. A cast shake up can often save a TV show with dismal ratings. However, he’d be better off just writing this off as a sunk cost and canceling the rest of his presidency.

What happens if he purges his staff and then never replaces them? I could see that happening, with Trump just lounging around the White House alone, refusing to do anything but watch cable news.
