We live in a 100+ year old house in MN and we keep the temp set around 65 to 68. Good slippers make a world of difference especially for non-carpeted floors. And we keep box of quilts in varying thicknesses in the living room to snuggle under when watching tv, reading, etc.

We use humidifiers in winter to just make the house more comfortable. The dry air is brutal on your skin and nasal passages.
