Journalist here. The MSM is not nearly as biased as you think. Partisan sites are, and Jezebel is a partisan site, but most make it clear.

I know too many people who debate like this. Talk over you, shout, try to pin you down on answers that make you look not credible (even when you are), use simplistic logic that’s difficult to argue against (logic that doesn’t really apply, if context and nuance are taken into account, or logic that is a false

Re: the email of the week -- Leitch?

Especially if you’re making the men wear heels.

Eh, I think jeans are OK with a sportcoat and button down IF they are nice and relatively expensive and not Lee or Wrangler brands.

I forgot what year it is from, but it is the one with the author living on a farm/commune, being haunted by a ghost, only to find the ghost was the creepy farmhand. I say was because the author stopped seeing the ghost, and soon after, he turned up dead. So he was stalking her and her roommates while they slept, while

The ones that turn out to be humans with ill intent scare me far more than the ghosts. See: the farmhand one and the Cincinnati apartment one from recent years.

I missed the deadline this year! Well, I will try again.

This is what drives me crazy about the right (yes, the left does it, too, but to a far lesser extent) — the hysteria and misinformation, as opposed to taking the facts on the merits.

I don’t understand how sick you’d have to be to stalk these performers.

Put aside that it’s the Pats for a second, and this shit is so fucking annoying. Journalists are tasked with asking questions. It’s the job. While a handful of h0t-take shitheads (see: Mariotti, Jay) really are setting up an agenda for “clicks,” most journalists are just asking questions in order to write an

I am assuming wife and second wife are the same and he just typed it poorly, but a Utah situation does sound more fun.

I don’t want to get into numbers, but I think I will be paying until the nursing home calls.

Another option for baseball — road grey pants and solid color jerseys for the road team. I see this a lot (the White Sox do it a fair amount) and it looks good. Also allows those teams that have nice home whites to keep them as such.

Cue Ray Liotta as Shoeless Joe in Field of Dreams, right after Costner/Kinsella tells him owners found more fans could attend night games so even Wrigley has lights: “Meh, owners”

Or the one openly white supremacist shop I ran into. Guy didn’t hide it from the customers. This was in the North, in the Aughts, in an urban area.

I did the usual cashier/bagger thing, and that was fine, and I was a porter at a car dealership, which is fun only in that you drive nice cars for 100 feet.

The only other thing I thought, way back at the time, was that maybe it was about two friends crushing on each other in that “will they/won’t they way” but that’s the innocent explanation, and it can read rapey AF, of course.

Not to mention you don’t get fired for saying something unpopular -- I can tweet about how great Skyline chili is all day long and not get fired -- but for actual hateful shit that reflects poorly on your place of employment.

Media industry drone here. There are companies out there that sell this code to various sites. Usually it’s meant to bring traffic back to your own (legit) site. But not always. Even legit news sites get plagued by this spammy shit. I think, and I am not sure, this happens because people aren’t paying attention and
