If Ray's lawyer was in that room (and he almost certainly was) their camp will be making a statement that Ray told them EXACTLY what happened in that elevator and didn't lie.

He was in fact suspended under the personal conduct policy at Goodell's discretion but if, as has been reported, the CBA has a double jeopardy clause then the league cannot then months later change that suspension when they get more evidence (even though you could argue they didn't really get more evidence).

If they want to save face then they maintain the story that they hadn't seen the video until it leaked today and extend the suspension to a minimum 8 games because of "new" evidence.
