Whenever the Vega is mentioned, I always have to share the story told by the late great southern humorist Lewis Grizzard about the Vega he once owned. It was such a turd, he started leaving the keys in it hoping it would be stolen. One day he happened upon someone trying to steal it. It wouldn’t start. So Grizzard

I worked with one of the designer/engineers of the Snake Canyon jump vehicle. The steam powered vehicle used a bundt cake pan as the material for the nozzle as it had the proper cone shape. Evel Knievel was known to be a bit panicky so they rigged his harness release backwards. They figured that by the time he needed

I’m surprised they didn’t realize those malaise era jet engines didn’t have enough thrust to move a full size boat like a Continental through the air.

All Vapor is his new hydrogen vehicle company.

$2,300 for a likely no-rust vehicle with a 90's Toyota motor that is at worst, half-dead? The options for this poll should have been:

Yeah, the values have went up for clean ones. But I am with you, at $8-10k these are intriguing cars, but they are not all that special really. It was on my list of “decently cool shit for cheap” radar and then BOOM the prices got dumb.

$16,500 is E46 M3 money with those miles. Drop about $4k, and it might be worth checking out.

No joke I thought this was an elaborate campaign for Ford’s new F150 with the onboard generator.

Yes, aside from its novel propulsion, this car is beautiful.

A lot of Nazis are pro-Israel to the extent that its a good smokescreen to hide the antisemitism and, like the Israeli government, also hate Muslims.

Oh no, where are they gonna find another tweed wearing long-haired bearded white guy banjo player to replace him? And wouldn’t everyone notice it’s a different guy?

Easy Nice Price. I bought an ‘85 2M4 last week with 80,000 miles and the 5 speed. Love it!

ABSOLUTELY Nice Price! We had an ‘86 GT with the V6 which we enjoyed. Fun little car! And in the last model year, Pontiac fixed the remaining annoyances and (I believe) upped the power a notch and made the suspension better. I wanted to upgrade to the new model, but a baby was coming, so you know how that story ended

Nice Price: It’s $2500 for a running vehicle; that alone essentially makes it ‘nice price’ these days. The fact that it’s in decent condition is icing on the cake. This isn’t for me, but there are a bunch of Fiero weirdos that I’m sure would hop on this.

Repairing the damage from that is gonna cost some bucks.

What is he doing that he’s putting 163,000+ miles per year on his truck? That’s what I want to know. Seems like an odd choice to do crazy miles in, unless it’s for occupational reasons and you actually need the towing/hauling capability. Otherwise jeez, just get a Prius already.

Another paradox: I like you and hate you at once.

There’s a pertinent Douglas Adams quote that’s been making the rounds recently:

As long as the VIN doesn’t change, it’s the same car. So you need to fill out form 468-B6 and stand in that line over there.

Car crashes killed eight percent more people in 2020 than in 2019, despite miles driven plunging by 13 percent! Every time you drove in 2020, you were 24 percent more likely to die.
