This American Life did an episode about the numbers games that dealerships and sales people play with manufacturers. They don’t really care if the car comes back either. Sometimes they just need those quotas up enough to qualify for the bonuses and manufacturer incentives. If the car comes back, the numbers still get

He was trying to say he was too important to let some stupid speeding ticket interfere with giving Mrs. Jones some botox. It was a power play. I hope he gets his drivers license AND his medical license suspended for a while for that stunt.  He seems too reckless for either.

Maserati Biturbo: the car you buy if you want to make a YouTube car restoration series that never ends. Part 167: fixing what we fixed in parts 57, 88, and 123. Next episode: fixing what we fixed three years ago in part 15, last year in part 110, and three weeks ago in part 155.

Yeah, this one wasn’t that great... but a couple of things did stand out.

In the early 2000s I worked at a16 pump gas station, and the pumps would run slow when we had a lot of cars. It was enough of a problem that Corporate sent repair guys out several times. Filters got changed, pumps checked, all sort of stuff, with no effect. I have no idea how it was finally discovered, but the problem

this is monumentally stupid, even for an internet message board.

I can attest to the long-term viability of the venerable rope-plug.

In her case, AutoPilot probably saves a life or two every time she gets behind the wheel.

I disagree with the lower door plastic molding. I think it looks better with it on there... simply because the front and read bumpers wrap around and are so low. Without the molding on the doors the lines are broken up and it feels uneven or just off. Obviously this is just my take, and if you like it better without

It is. The initial arrest makes sense, polishing off a bottle of Patron in front of a police officer and immediately hopping on a motorcycle, you’re kind of asking for it lol. But they should have dropped it as soon as it came back as only .02%. Unfortunately I think FrankenCamry is right... It shouldn’t be that way,

And it comes with an interior that didn’t make me throw up in my mouth a little.

Oh look, here’s a Beck Speedster for $33k:

For this kind of money you can make or get a Speedster replica that is very close to a real speedster in looks and experience, light, balanced and fun. With the fender flairs, Corvair engine, and cheap racing seats this thing is not a cheap substitute for the real deal, it is an overpriced kit car.  No Dice at half

Yes

Did the plane crash into the car or did the car crash into the plane?

You know what? I’m buying one. I love simple bikes like this, because I like cool bikes more than I like fast bikes. You know how we talk about “slow car fast?” Okay, well, it’s fun to peg a bike and know that it’s going to be a moment before you hit 70 mph. If you’re just riding around town, having fun, or even

Now playing

You can make your own with an old microwave transformer. Remove the secondary coil and wrap a couple of loops of battery cables through the armature hole. Loop those around the bolt and plug the primary into an AC socket.
NOTE: THIS IS CRAZY UNSAFE. NOT REALLY RECOMMENDED.

What is not intuitive for an automotive journalist doing a review over a few days becomes intuitive for actual owners over a few weeks of acclamation.

He was in the area for the Genesis Invitational, serving as a celebrity host rather than playing; it’s a PGA event. This was a sponsor loaner. In some photos you can clearly see the big Genesis logo on the passenger door.
