One of the customers at the counter looked familiar, and I know part of it is the show being good about reusing background character models, but it made me weirdly happy to think Bob has regulars besides Teddy & Mort that just go uncommented on.

Welcome, Les.  Great review, you’re off to a fantastic start!

The Weeknd was on Saturday Night Live.

I don’t really know what this is a counterargument to.

I like how the show somehow figured a way for Riker to yell “SHEILDS UP!”

Everybody come quick! A straight man’s masculinity is threatened!

When will we see my old Weyoun-slaying friend Worf again?

Lulu Wilson was phenomenal as Kestra. TNG never had a great track record when it came to child actors, but Wilson was phenomenal here — selling the family chemistry with Riker and Troi, capturing wild exuberance of a free range child with a rural upbringing playing in the woods, conveying the loss of Kestra’s older

A pretty great episode, but it kind of glosses over the fact that Picard is putting the Troi-Rickers in grave danger.

As much as Picard was the center of Next Gen, the strength of that ensemble can’t really be overstated...

Guinan better watch the fuck out in season 2.  Not a series regular?  You gonna die.

People complained about my complaints about Raffi last week when I said her sudden switch from hypercompetent to drunken mess was poorly handled and I was upbraided for not remembering that, gee, her son just told her to fuck off, of course she’d be upset!

“Agnes Must Vomit” is the new “Miles Must Suffer.” Three times in one episode, Jesus.

Is Melissa still on this show anymore? Actual serious question after yet another complete no-show.

God I hope Cecily Strong gets a big break in a TV show or film or truly whatever. She’s been a trooper the past 7 years and is my favorite cast member and it’s sad how she’s used like human flex tape for this leaking ship.

Blue Sky Animation proudly present... Pants Dad. This summer... find out who wear pants in this house!

It looks like a Dreamworks Movie that snuck into the Pixar Studio.

One of my legit pitches for a Trek show is called “Q & Me” and it stars Wil Wheaton and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Wes and a Q woman. Wes has been abandoned by The Traveler, but has practically Q-like powers in his own right now. Q (deLancie) sets him up with GMR to basically train him up to join the continuum. It’s a

Amy’s first cartoon was a million times better.

Side note, that top picture is... weird. It pushes my Uncanny Valley button something fierce. If it weren’t for the second picture later in the article, this could have been reviewed as a CGI animated production and I wouldn’t have batted an eye.
