The dropoff is totally bizarre.  It's like they let William Goldman write the first twenty pages of the script, then they gave the rest to Daffy Duck.

One of the best parts of the original introduction to The Dark Knight Returns was its takedown of other genre heroes, prior to saying that the Batman was the best, the only true, late 20th century hero.  For 007, it was, "the ovveriding characteristic in the makeup of James Bond is his hatred of women."  Don't know…

Goldfinger is the classic choice.  Any song where you can hum it and people will recognize the tune, that's a hit.
