Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay…

Cliffhanger is actually good. Well shot, and Lithgow is muy bueno as the villain.

That's cold Sheltie. Not only do you call it dad-rock, but you name drop the Live album that came out years after they hit it big. Ice cold.

Listening to No Easy Day right now, which is better known for its parts on the UBL raid.  But the author and his team were also there for this raid.  He reports that after the takedown, Phillips said, "why did you have to do that?" and was definitely showing signs of Stockholm syndrome.  Interesting to see if that

Mendes' finest movie.  Two legitimate all-timers going at each other, with two other movie stars as the second and third bananas.  Surprisingly non-crappy kid actor.

Prison Bus Escape Sub-Inventory!

I'm contractually obligated to post this in all outer space movie threads.

Splinter Cell is very good, and Vegas is even better, but I'm going to take you back to DOS school:

Goodbye Chocolate Mousse…

His anecdote about throwing cards at Pierce Brosnan on the set of Goldeneye is fantastic.

Nah, he's just trying to make up for the damage he caused playing Karla in the original Tinker Tailor.

"Every time you greenlight another dark, depressing, boring drama, you're gonna drop and give me twenty pushups."

You beat me to it.  "Never give up" is cheesy.  But Michael's unthinking "BFD.  Engaged ain't married" is clear, direct, and inspiring.  Maybe even more importantly, it's insightful.  It's his best line in the whole series.

Shown out of order.  Injury was supposed to be first.

Stumbled on to Annie from one of those "What I was listening to when I wrote this" lists in the back of a Scott Pilgrim comic.  Good listening.  That said, nothing for years, then a five song EP?  Does that mean label issues?

And yet, not disgusting.

Yes.  The torpedos-that-are-actually-coffins-but-somehow-still-work-as-torpedos gave me a headache.

1. Super f'in cheesy.  I almost yelled, "Come on!" at the screen, and I hate people that talk during movies.

I still wish Anderson had gone with Robert Downey, Jr., as Doc instead of Phoenix.  I think that's a decision he'll want back in a few years.

Yes, by several orders of magnitude.  Like comparing a bowl of oatmeal to a poptart.
