From what I can tell the best parts are still 1-2 year old parts off an F1 car(batteries, control units, motors etc).

Yes, but if they enter a car from August onwards (including Petit Le Mans), it is homologated and no changes can be done. That’s the main reason why this season is over for them, unlike, let’s say Risi (vague comparison, but still....)
