Agreed, but I don’t want to carry on conversations with it, or “bring more trust and empathy to the relationship between car and driver”, whatever that pile of words is even supposed to mean.

It’s hard to believe it weighs the same as my ‘19 Miata RF GTS did. Wish it handled like that, too. It’s only good in a straight line. Can’t bring myself to cut it up to convert it to IFS, though. 

Damn, that’s pretty good! The Cobb tune didn’t seem to affect mpg’s much to be honest. It just got truck mileage no matter how it was driven. But then again, it was not designed or purchased to be a hypermiler. 

Mine did 18mpg no matter how you drove it. Bat out of hell? 18mpg. Granny driving to see if you can get any better mileage? 18mpg.

I miss my unmolested Evo X (not counting the Cobb tune. It was a very mild Stage 1 tune). What an absolute hoot it was to drive. 

Since the old fart made the list, I figured I should share some pics of it. My father was kind enough to hand it down to me before he shuffled off this blue marble, making his money pit MY money pit. It’s a hoot though. 1963 1/2 Sprint. Freshly rebuilt K Code 289, toploader, 9in rear, Wilwood discs, new exhaust,…
