Agreed. My RSN is pretty much the only reason I have cable. I like to follow my local NHL and MLB teams ... and the best way to do that is through the local RSN. I’d be loath, however, to pay both the MLB and NHL annual fees to stream the games.

I don’t disagree. In a lot of ways the media (not just in sports) is in a race to the bottom to attract eyeballs. Part of that is increasing aggregation, not original reporting (because reporting takes time/effort).
