The way it is written it is easy to infer that despite the frat's "destructive, predatory, and rapey" reputation their were still plenty (ie. carloads) of girls eager to party with them. I guess it's possible to attribute that to naivety or ignorance, but that must mean their are A LOT of naive and/or ignorant girls

Still seems sketchy at best and brain-dead stupid at worst.

It didn't take long before super secret-but-not-actually-at-all-secret fraternity EI had a bad reputation. And I don't mean "cool;" I mean like "destructive, predatory, and rapey."

Wow. You are good at one thing and that is putting words in my mouth. Who's the one melting down and losing reasonable discourse?

Wow, could throw around any more meaningless labels and feminist cliches into your comment? WTF is "alpha male"culture" or "macho man culture"? There are good men and bad men, just like their are good women and bad women. Stop trying to apply negative connotations on one particular subset of male culture.

No. You're wrong. Greed, violence, misogyny and homophobia aren't inherent in masculinity. Women can be greedy, violent, misogynistic and homophobic as well. Those are cultural flaws, not gender ones. Yes, those qualities need to be vilified, but to associate them with masculinity is plain ignorant.

And yet, "carloads" of girls "lined up" in the parking lot in hopes of "being chosen based on looks" to attend their parties despite their well known "destructive, predatory, and rapey" reputation? What the fuck?

I agree. My point is that in terms of bullying the stereotype of the "alpha male", "the jock", the "burly, angry guy" is limiting. Do those types of boys bully? Absolutely. But so do girls. So do homosexuals and lesbians. Band geeks bully male cheerleaders, etc. When a kid is bullied by someone who is not

Whoa. Pump the brakes.

I agree. The sad part is that society's perpetuation of the stereotype of the alpha male bully tormenting other males or sexually harassing girl is that it marginalizes girls who are bullied by other girls. Embracing the idea that bullying is not only perpetrated by boys will, in the long run, be beneficial for girls

You seem surprised. At the risk of being incorrectly labeled "MRA", by some on here, this just feeds the negative stereotype of masculinity = violence, exploitation, aggression, dominance. Bullies come in all shapes, colors, sizes, and genders. Unfortunately, this ad continues to demonize boys as bad.

They need some scrappy white dudes.

Man, you guys are really piling on Hawk Harrelson lately.

Most disturbing of all is that the large preponderance of online bullying is girl on girl which overthrows the lame stereotype of the burly, scary alpha male beating up the shy nerd.

No, stupid ass. First, I never said all women work 80/20. I used that as an example. However, according to the UNITED STATES CENSUS BUREAU, there are 5 million stay at home moms. That's 25% of all mothers in the United States. So, yes, a large percentage of mothers contribute 20% or less to a married couples combined

I wish I had a name like Alaska Thunderfuck. Fucking epic, bro.

I can rattle off ten couples who fall would fall in that category or even higher without even thinking. I know two couples where the wife doesn't work AT ALL. They are stay at home moms. It isn't as uncommon as you might think.
