And joint winners for Automotive GIF of the Year:

And no CVT. CVT’s are like condoms, I do not use them.

I cross my fingers for fistfights in formula 1!

True—and also at higher price-point. The compact CUV costs as much as a midsize sedan. It’s the greatest consumer scam yet!

McLaren may as well quit F1 if they're considering Ferrari power plants.

There’s a difference between being “perfectly ok with personal assault” and wholly disapproving of an employee’s actions while accepting that they are an irreplaceable talent and its in the company’s best interest to just let it slide.

I don’t see the body shaming in the Matthew Urso comment. None of that wording implied the person being described should be ashamed of being fat. And the woman’s size was central to the point that was being made so it’s not like the comment on her size was unnecessary.

She was moved from a regular seat to a single seat. They then removed her arm rest. Meanwhile, I get told that if I have to pay extra for an exit row

As another 6'5" man, I say violent protest is needed. The last time I was on a plane, I saw them take an armrest off to accommodate a fat lady. I asked the flight attendant to remove the seat in front of me while she was at it. Got a dirty look

Having driven both the latest DCT and 6MT M3, I am not sure how you could possibly think the 6MT feels out of place in the M3. An M5, I would understand.

I’m sure aftermarket could help crisp up those shifter bushings or whatever part is cheap and rubbery. Surprised actually. But, then I’m not as I remind myself it’s an Italian car and has to be not 100 % there all the time.

AAWHH YEEAAH the dutch pride, with that dual engined, triple turbocharged Beast of a machine... If I am not mistaken, the speed was around 220kmh... through the desert... with a truck weighing nearly 10 metrict tonnes... also, 0-60mph in under 8 seconds... on sand... let that “sink” in for a moment :D

Penske didn’t leave Dodge so much as Dodge wouldn’t commit to a new multi-year contract. Penske was a free agent and Dodge only offered up a 1 year contract. If Dodge was willing to commit for 2 or 3 more years, then Penske might have stayed.

Garbage and mail/parcel delivery trucks are prime EV candidates. Short-ish routes that take a long time, and spend all night in a controlled lot so they can recharge at the reduced overnight utility rates... match made in heaven.

Please make EV garbage trucks, the diesel trucks wake everyone up

In Jalopnik, land of shitty cars and slow Miatas, it’s not always about working properly or going fast.

And that’s why it’s not the 23 hour, 55 minutes of Le Mans.

I don’t know about the US market one but the European one looks pretty cool:

cue the “I like how this car looks but I’m unsure about FIAT reliability so I’m going to get the uglier Miata” idiots...

yes, every single one of you that falls under that demographic is an idiot.

The real test will be when the Euro NCAP do their pedestrian testing.
