Also out of the cornucopia of late 70s reggae came dub poetry. Performance poets over dub beats, originated mostly outside of Jamaica I think from countries with large Caribbean populations. Linton Kwesi Johnson is the most successful.

Great stuff. George Harrison would’ve luved it. He was big ukulele fan/collector. Did you ever see Martin Scorsese’s 2011 doc G.H.: Living in the Material World? Nice scene of Harrison & Jeff Lynne messing around on said instruments plus little bit of back-story re: his ‘ukulele & gardening obsessions’ etc.

During the late 70s reggae explosion came dub. Producers became scientists. King tubby meets rockers uptown is probably the most famous dub record. Augustus Pablo and King Tubby. A dub version of baby I love you so.

Here it is... I enjoy the St. Anger album. It’s grown on me very easily. For me, it’s something that I can listen to when I need to blow off some steam. At times, it’s been therapeutic for me. The whole track list is a playlist of mine whenever I workout. It just works
