When I think road trip, I think setting the cruise control and enjoying the countryside. Not stopping every 250 miles to refill a 12 gallon gas tank, and peering out of tiny sports car windows. Long hours spent going in straight lines on a highway.

Ummm, Tavarish - your love of Porsche 911s (and 912s) have blinded you to the absolute truth... if “it just needs” it’s not worth salvaging because the prior owner would have “just” done it. Specifically, “some surface rust” is only part of the sentence, the real sentence reads “some surface rust holds what’s left of…
Wow it was driven enough to overheat\
Eh...seen ‘em. Will never own one. They’re nice and all, don’t get me wrong; they’re just— for lack of a better word— played out, ya know? Show me something new and different(my personal runners up in this set are the Delahaye and the baja Karmann Ghia.)
I must be getting old. Of all the vehicles pictured, the Futureliner held my interest the most.
Special Forces loves the B-1 On Station:
Sturgis - the city where all those who didn’t get hugged enough gather each year to bury their unresolved childhood pain in noise, sunglasses, terrible beer , bandanas and facial hair. Hide your feelings deep! Don’t let them see you cry! If those pesky emotions begin to surface, weigh them down with another bacon…
6 comments in and it turned into reddit. It’s sad, really.
Lots of attention from middle-aged dudes. Just like every car.
True, until you actually drive one. I’m pretty sure only about 1 in 10 people who has driven one would love it; lots of road noise, poor highway handling, leaky roof, questionable mechanics... don’t get me wrong, I love Jeeps. But I love them because of those faults, not despite them.
Man, I always forget how big that thing is.
Modern society breeds test-takers who grow up to be insecure yes-men. This is especially true in the Science and Engineering fields where I work. Many people do not have the self-esteem to buy something nice for themselves, even though they make tons of money. They feel like a toy needs to be economically or otherwise…
Never been a fan of Jay Leno the entertainer, but Jay Leno the car guy is pretty cool.
Love the cross-stitched seats, love the look, interior is nice overall and not too busy. The motor could use a litte more oomph, but if it made it production looking like that it would be a winner for sure. As far as the belt line, the Merc CL and CLS have high belt lines and so does a Camaro so I’m not sure that this…
Smooth Cadillac back and love the front.
Well if anything it's about having usable street power. The S2k is unquestionable a better car on the track. But on the street in the low RPM range, Miatas are still very fun. So in light of your answer, a used NA or NB Miata with some suspension mods and you are still under $5k lol.
Whyo whyo whyo can’t I sell my BRZ-o. :-(
