I’d buy an RS7 at double the current price before I’d even test drive the CTS-V. It is in another league completely from all of the other cars listed.

This should have happened.

Ousting the CEO? Germans love a little Putsch now and then, don’t they.

Holy shit. I hope your two brain cells never accidentally run into each other.

It’s almost offensive that this article has to be written. Coming back from an injury or personal tragedy isn’t the same as ‘coming back’ from being a shitty person.

Like my aluminum helmet? Real aluminum.

I actually really enjoy daily driving on the stock tires. I’ll probably keep using the Primacy HPs just for the fun factor. I’ll have sticky rubber for autox/track days.

How many clueless people have told you about how their Mustang/Focus ST/Used 370Z are faster than the BRZ therefore it sucks?

I’ll try and get some accurate ones but I think low to mid 6-second range sounds right. Honestly, I don’t care that much. 0-60 and quarter mile times are just for general benchmarking in my book. We put too much emphasis on numbers.

I’m saying that while I’d never turn down more power (I drove a supercharged BRZ and it was amazing) I already have more power than I can use in 98% of my driving anyway, so... it definitely isn’t underpowered in my opinion. Having said that, my old car was a 98 Outback, so everything isn’t underpowered compared to

You can get a new 15 wrx under 30. I did that. I liked having the extra 2 doors, but the brz was a lot like my 240z summer car is one reason not going that route. I drove a coworkers brz to try it out, and under 4k it wasn’t as enjoyable. The 2.5k rpm pull in the wrx is a blast. Factory has it set for understeer, but

But driving in snow with the STI with good snow tires is just such effortless fun. It’s ridiculous.

If you don’t need 4 doors, a usable back seat, or AWD, go for the BRZ. I live in New England, and got a BRZ plus a set of snow tires. No problem during our snowiest winter in recorded history.

Sounds weird, but those Prius tires are part of the charm. The car is so easy to get controllably sideways with them. You wouldn’t take them to a track, but on public roads, not much else is required to have a ton of fun.

AWD is by no means necessary for snow, and I’d argue that RWD can be much more fun during the winter. Slap a good set of snow tires on an FR-S/BRZ and it will handle amazingly well in harsh winter conditions.

Ask me how I know. ;)

Agreed. This was going to be my only car though and the power of the WRX makes daily driving effortless. When I do get out to the mountains, there is plenty of drama and hilarity to be had in the WRX. The steering is still pretty good and the way it builds boost produces that shit eatin’ grin on my face.

Carving the canyon roads of California, I’d rather have the superior steering and handling of the Toyobaru. With a manual transmission you can keep it in the powerband and whip through those corners in a manner that will put an ear to ear shit eatin’ grin on your face for days.

I’m convinced that these tires have a lifespan equal to that of a galapagos tortoise, even under heavy abuse. haha

The same reason it’s not turboed...

my dad watched them Growing up as a kid and took us to Seafair. I ran into the Hydroplane museum guys inSpokane a few years back and started talking about the engines and tuning...
