It takes the barest minimum of human decency to allow a queer person to live their life unharassed. It costs nothing to simply leave them alone. To not say something cruel or nasty and instead mind your own business.

Your claim is that in naming his app “Wordle - The App”, he is not trying to ride off the SEO of a popular game named Wordle, but rather a lot of other similar games that are not named Wordle?

Everybody knows this already. It’s not about whether the game concept is original, it’s that this guy lifted everything about Josh Wardle’s version of it wholesale, up to and including the name so that he could steal SEO thunder from it.

Yeah, it’s the whole “active douchebaggery” angle that really just twists the knife in this situation.

If he hadn’t copied the name and design, I’d have no issues with this. Doug Wardle didn’t invent and doesn’t own the concept and he never claimed otherwise. But if someone wants to make a version with more options and leaderboards and all that, sure, go for it - but at least come up with a new name.

The real Wordle is entirely playable on mobile through the browser. It works great. What are you talking about?

I haven’t gotten to the point yet where I’m getting death-stares in public, since I just started HRT in the middle of last year, but like, it took me YEARS to get to this point because of the sheer terror of merely existing in a world where a good portion of society would love to see me end up dead in the gutter.

The gameplay isn’t the problem.

Yeah, watching streams of the game from Jackfrags, I could tell I wouldn’t feel comfortable playing this game. It’s tone is off-putting. For people that can accept the tone and subject matter, or look past it, it does look like an entertaining experience.  Just not one I have any interest in playing.

Maybe they’ll add a horde mode where you defend the Capitol against false flag antifa rioters. /s
