“thank you for your service?”
“thank you for your service?”
The biggest federal workers union is currently suing the government right now, saying it’s illegal to require them to work without pay, which would hopefully prevent this from happening again. The problem with TSA workers not showing up is that federal workers don’t have the right to strike, even a wildcat strike like…
We traveled this weekend. The TSA agent that checks boarding passes was working two lines by herself - still taking time to joke and smile with each person in their native language, and make silly faces at their small children. When I got up to her, I asked her “you guys aren’t getting paid right now, are you?”
This is bullshit.
I wonder how much scrutiny the board gives to Chinese students ACTUALLY cheating on the exam. Reuters did a great series on Asian students cheating on the exam and gaming the system. https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/college-cheating-iowa/
You get a gold ⭐️ I SWORE I thought more than one person would get that joke!
*am now fearing the inevitable debut of bespoke genocide*
Because there’s no point in it if they’ll be anonymous.
Also probably because they’re really stupid.
I think a name like “Kamilah” is probably enough to trip some internal racial bias.
I thought it was telling that they stated that they don’t cancel scores based solely on changes to the score. So they obviously noted that this student improved their score significantly, then looked into her, discovering that she was a black girl, and then decided that she must have cheated. They stated themselves tha…
She got better without spending a lot of money on their test prep.
You cheated, we don’t know how, we have no proof but we know you cheated.
That’s the thing for me. She’s a B student. A 900 is underperforming for her grades. Then she retakes and, does 79th percentile, which is like, in line with a B student. That’s not exactly shocking to me.
When we win according to their stacked rules, they change the rules.
I don’t think it’s sympathy? Of course society finds it easier to hold black men accountable. That is an uncomfortable truth that poster was pointing out. The desire is for white men to also be held accountable, not for black men to also get to escape punishment like their white counterparts do.
Good, because R Kelly is a fucking piece of shit. https://thegrapevine.theroot.com/vince-staples-calls-r-kelly-a-child-molester-1825304310
Was just having a convo with my best friend yesterday wondering how much longer it would take before society completely takes down R Kelly. It’s years overdue but it’s time.
Because she is so desperate for a seat at the kids table, she is willing to go to bat for abusers, all in the name of a paycheck. I guess in the high flying world on festival puff piece segments, jobs are hard to come by, because there is no way in hell she can pretend to be a journalist.
For real, her flailing was painful, as if no one can have these kinds of conversations because someone will lose access or a part time job covering a shitty festival. It has to be a joke or something, it’s not as if people don’t know.
Dave Chappelle did a whole episode featuring this muthafucks predilictions and he is still walking around with Teflon draw(er)s on. I’m not famous but I always make sure to include “I saw the tape. That was a child. He pissed on her. He should not be breathing” in every conversation about R. Kelly for the past decade…
