I think the point is more that he claimed ‘Expert climbers couldn’t do it’, when that is demonstrably false. Either A) he’s lying and they never tested it, B) Don Jr said he went into the woods once, so he’s an expert climber and couldn’t do it, or C) their expert (I mean, they have all the BEST people, right?) lied…

On the other hand, you only need one person (presumably the coyote) to be a semi-competent climber. He can just drop like a rope ladder or something once he gets to the top so the other people can climb.

As penetrable as the wall probably is, someone who’s planning a climbing trip and says they’ve done a lot of climbing probably exceeds most reasonable people’s definition of novice.
