It’s been nearly impossible to get into any top tier race car series with out a shit ton of money for decades. It doesn’t matter if it’s Indy, NASCAR, or F1. This situation is just more obvious. You either need your own from a sponsor or both.

I haven’t looked at the numbers but I’m guessing long-term ownership costs, and resale make the price more palatable.
You sir are not an American. take your sensibilities and leave.
Most people that need a body on frame truck go bigger than half ton. You can’t even put a snow plow on a half ton. They are designed, built and marketed to make buyers think and feel special, and manly. You picked those bags of top soil in one trip in the spring!!!!!!!!! Those sheets of plywood laid flat on the bed.…
If you have a half ton there will be moments you’ll need a 3/4 ton. Have a 3/4, you’ll need a 1 ton. Single axle, need a dual. But the fuel economy.
I wonder if it’s just a case of not wanting to go backwards career-money wise. Pretty sure most of the recent NASCAR retirements were for this reason. I’m sure most of them had an open invitation to a weaker cup or Xfinity team but for less money, and lower odds of winning.
You sound good on paper...... Only on paper.
Yea... Next to maybe a race car, I don't think MB ever made a decent shifter.
I've looked at some of their actual listings. And I don't think all that much inventory goes out the door.
I don’t think anything they sponsored even finished? I don’t remember if any of the drag cars made it past the first round? I’m sure the guy is a advertising whore but other than apparel and maybe some TV commercial money what else is there?
Just a general question, and it’s not based the numbers thrown around on the show, but how is this guy not completely bankrupt? It seems like every form of racing they sponsor they loose at miserably, and I doubt they move that many cars. Even with the Dodge deal, and the show, I doubt that much is coming in. And I…
He a total ballin bad ass up until oh about 15 seconds.
Was that the guy that made it on COPS? They tazered him a million times and he just kept on going.
I knew Wisconsin was a chilly area but jeez!
I know you are being a bit sarcastic but the big deal is more about NASCAR’s aggressive zero tolerance drug policy. A policy that NASCAR has used in the past as a questionable tool to get rid of some people that "disagree" with things.
I wonder if it was his or one owned by Toyota with their plates, and insurance?
Or Concord, or Charlotte.
You are assuming he has an addiction. I’m going to assume he thinks he can do whatever he wants, and the rules apply to him.
I switched to all UK car mags years ago because US car mags are shit.
This happens way more often than people think.
