I’m a more casual basketball fan so I definitely want some true fanatics to enlighten me... but watching that game last night really seemed like the perfect microcosm of why the talk about Curry taking the throne of best in the game away from LeBron — regardless of this series outcome — is silly.
Need a better angle on that jump ball. From the back you can see Green pulling lebron down by his shoulder. I hope the league takes a look at this. Lebron is big and strong but that doesn’t mean the refs should just swallow their whistles. A foul is a foul
Lebron playing with no Kyrie, JR Smith doing JR Smith things, Matthew Dellavedova guarding the MVP, getting no calls on the road....and getting the win.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player so fully involved in every play of a finals game like LeBron; even MJ had Pippen bring the ball up most of the time, and Magic didn’t bear that much of the scoring load most games (save Game 6, 1980, greatest finals performance of all time)LeBron was just exhausted - how could he…
Last night was a big reason why I hate the “In the last few minutes, the Refs should let the players decide things” concept that is so prevalent in sports. If the Refs don’t call the actual rules of the game they’re having a huge impact on the actual game.
Afternoon, my octaroon!
He was in his house. He works with corporate sponsors, meaning he should be relatively brand-conscious (even if he is just a nepotism hire). But he still left his Broncos t-shirt while waiting for the cops to come and arrest him so that he could take one of the shadier mugshots I’ve ever seen. Head tilt. Look as far…
My first thought: whippets?? Is “johnny bowlen” in high school?
Never good when a high profile of your organization is arrested with team apparel on in the mugshot.
Did he think the 911 operator would say “oh, you’re the owner of the Broncos? We’ll just disregard the woman screaming in the background. Have a good night sir, sorry for calling back.”
How did you do on the SAT analogies section?
“John will be placed on an indefinite leave of absence from the organization.”
The place was also strewn with empty zimas and some of what he called “dad’s good stuff.”
Pat Bowlen’s policy is to forgive and forget.
Bowlen was under the influence of “whippets” and alcohol.
Love the t-shirt. Classic.
