I’m happy that this exists. Not because it’s any good, but because it’s something different. I’d love it if one of our mainstream automakers today would make something interesting and weird. It would be passed over by the market and forgotten because it surely wouldn’t be a CUV, but it would be cool to see.

One of the most worthless vehicles GM ever produced and that is saying a lot.

5300lbs?!?! That’s as much as my extended cab F-150

This makes me question what NP/ND is all about.

Boomer here too, same, I don’t automatically hate retro styled cars, but I just think the front on this is too fugly to get past. They even managed to make the underhood engine cover look ugly instead of just innocuous like it does on most cars.

I don’t want it, however.....

I voted NP. The new paint and black-out brightwork don’t work for me, but this is a nicely-restored MGB GT for an MG enthusiast.

Additionally: don’t let the stick-shift fool you, this is not in any way remotely a sporty ride. That huge engine is completely fore of the front axle and it makes them feel much larger to turn than you’d think.  They are also pretty slow.

Same price would have got me last weeks Viper, double the HP and 1K extra weight, with parts availability, rudimentary top, side curtains and a trunk for Costco runs.

This could have been cool...if it was complete. Put the fuel filler door on for sales pictures at least. And why is the door rail side skirt just a piece of home depot gutter with a few sheet metal self tappers in it? I could see if they were going for that drift-trash riveted look thats been so overplayed the last

Hell no.

This occupies a weird space in no man’s land. It might be rare but is it desirable? I think the answer is no, not really — especially not at $13k.

I can feel the Cowl Shake from here. ND

I know it sounds cliche at this point, but it remains true- A car like this is never going to be built again. No manufacturer will ever approve a modern equivalent to the 1st gen Viper. Even Dodge with its ongoing supercharged 1,000 horsepower swan song to the muscle cars wouldn’t consider selling you an essentially tu

Hunter S. Thompson’s used car ad?

Good idea but I can do better. Go to the top of your restaurant. Set up a HD camera with a live feed to your TV screen. Boom, trackside live footage.

If anyone is in Vegas this week, they will be there to watch the race.

The streets were made with public tax dollars and repaired with public tax dollars. The race is on public streets, not a private track!

Where’s the subwoofer that goes with the other egregious mods?  ND.

Honestly torn. It’s definitely not a $12k car. That’s just the price of purchase. Sourcing parts for this as it breaks might not be fun, but might not be as bad as some limited run cars of the 70’s. It’s kind of shocking to see all the things in the pictures that was clearly Lotus just trying to get a car out.
