My mom had an ‘86 New Yorker Turbo. Sure, it was built like crap, and dad hit the roof when the digital dash shit the bed after the warranty expired, but the tufted leather seats were nice and the damn thing would light up the front tires. NP all day on this sweet ride

If it’s running now, everything works, making all the ponies it should, then hell yeah NP. Drive it until something expensive breaks then sell it for scrap. You had some great times in a $130K luxury sled for pennies on the dollar.

If it’s that simple, just fix it!

This thing with an SRT-4 engine transplant would be hella fun

My brother had the Chrysler Laser version when he was in college. Came home from class one day and it set itself on fire in the driveway.

A 32-year-old non-running K-car of undetermined mileage for only $7,500?!?

Seriously, WTF does “chop” around at a car show mean?

Maybe a stupid question, but what does “chop around at a car show” mean?

Where are they selling new Tahoes for $60K? I saw an article the other day and a loaded GMC Canyon is now nearly $70K.

Corvair, ‘65 Buick Riv to name two. But the Solstice/Sky are sweet. And amazing that GM managed to give them both unique looks. They had a lot of flaws in weight, performance and packaging, but they’re nice cars. NP for this one

Yes of course the Miata is superior by every measure. It handles better, weighs like 500 lbs less, and has a trunk that’s actually usable. But the Saturn (the car brand) has its charms, and you don’t see them a lot. NP

A 2JZ swap would probably twist this thing into a pretzel. Need a lot of reinforcements

Love watching Adam-12 episodes, all kinds of funky old cars show up

Sold cars at a Mitsu dealership in the early ‘90s, those original DSM cars were fantastic. Way ahead of their time. We also had a white Galant VR4 in the showroom that for some reason never got sold. Used to love to take it out occasionally and run it down the road. Had a guy trade in a Plymouth Laser version of this

I was ready to click NP until I got to the end and noticed the price had somehow gone up $6,000 in the time it took me to read the post. But seriously, NP

Any 22-year-old Audi with “Stage 3" modifications is an automatic ND

I think reliability goes down in direct correlation with modifications. So a Stage 3 mod means this is now 3x more likely to explode

I am the choir you are preaching to

I frequented a few bordellos back in the day, and while I love the interior I just can’t with that weak-sauce 4100 V8 and it’s tendency to grenade. Also the thing kind of looks like a K-car convertible from some angles. I’d rather have a full-size Eldo ragtop from the ‘70s. ND

Disagree. It’s a great RWD V8 sedan. Cop cosplayers buy police issue Ford Explorers or Dodge Charger
