I can’t remember where I read it, but someone said something like “A GM car will run badly longer than most cars will run at all.” An S-10 is one of these, you couldn’t kill it if you tried. Still, ND for a salvage title.

Right? There’s got to be S-10's out there in good fettle without a salvage title for about the same money.

That’s not the point. I have a 2019 Bullitt in the garage, but I’d still love to have a ‘91 LX 5.0 to hoon around in for a weekend. But not at this price. ND

Why is the Tesla 3 on the list? You included two comments which do not mention any issue with the car, only “because Elon.” But neither says anything about why Elon Musk is a “deal-breaking flaw.” Why is Elon a flaw? ‘Splain it to me Lucy.

Considering VW built like 20 million Bugs, how in the hell are any of them worth this much? Unless it’s got some kind of provenance, like was used in one of the Herbie the Love Bug movies, why?

No idea what old Bugs go for these days, but this seems insane. A special edition that’s missing pretty much all the purely cosmetic frippery that made it special? ND

Don’t forget the hail damage!

So what if it is? It’s still a boring-ass 18yo FWD sedan. That’s worth $22K?

Not sure it’s worth even $2,100. You can’t legally register/insure/drive it on public roads. What are you going to do with it? Put it in the garage and admire the beauty of a British-built Dodge Stratus?

I’d consider $22K for a sweet MGB GT. For a 2005 British Nissan Altima with hail damage that can’t be legally registered? Nope.

$22K for an 18yo mediocre boring 187hp FWD sedan is a NP in the UK?

Even without the registration hassles, if were completely legal, you’re still paying $22K for what is basically an 18yo British Nissan Altima

If the trunk is full of Pimm’s and sausage I may have to reconsider my ND vote. Nope, still ND

Or you could just buy an old Dodge Stratus which is legal in any state

“Hey Fred, when did you buy an old Dodge Spirit?”

Anyone who’d pay $22K for this heap needs to have a psychiatrist riding shotgun

It’s like paying $22K for a Dodge Stratus to use as a track car.

187hp FWD sedan, I guess if you consider a Nissan Versa a rush to drive, sure.

And the added bonus of hail damage! It’s barely February and we’ve got what may be the biggest ND of the year.

That’s very generous, I’m thinking it’s a $5K car at best.
