Dirty little secret: Even if you get “hired” by the FAA as an air traffic controller? The first two years are pretty much dedicated to intense training in the Earthly Paradise of Oklahoma City.
Yeah, there are a couple other spots with multiple airports but not all at those scales in that proximity. Closest that comes quickly to mind is the bay area with Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose all having airports with steady commercial traffic.
Eventually. They also beefed up the castings and added variable valve timing to make the engine make acceptable torque down low.... and renamed it the Ecotech.
hah! Honda’s Ioniq moment, I suppose.
Oh my god. I read this article back in the day, can’t believe I forgot about it! This photo was iconic:
this. I actually worked on the model3 and model Y. My name can be found on parts released in their PLM system and I’ve been in the tent to build these cars at launch, but I will never own a Tesla for this reason.
Depends on the car. Lexus is good, but drops out under around 28mph. Acura is superb, and it’ll stay in control all the way down to 0mph. You can be in stop and go rush hour traffic, set the cruise, and never touch the pedals the whole way home.
that’s the rub. long drives. for my job i drive on highways for multiple hours and then have to work, a few times a week. i don’t think i could do it without adaptive cruise.
i don’t have that problem. i set the gap to 1 or 2 car lengths depending on the amount of traffic. i drive mostly on highways, and i do a lot of it. i use it all the time. all the time. i wouldn’t use it on surface streets though.
My issue with Stow ‘n Go has always been that the second row is biblically uncomfortable, all flat and lacking bolstering so it feels worse than a park bench. Sure, it’s convenient for if you use it often as a cargo van, but for me an easily removable second row like the Odyssey’s is good enough for the once a year I…
It’s incredible for reducing attention fatigue on long drives. I’d have said the same thing until I experienced the admittedly rather rudimentary system in my brother’s 2012 XC70; it monitors your follow distance on the highway well enough to keep the 3 second rule and lets you focus on what’s going on around you…
Toyoburu twins for not having a hatchback. Here me out on this, the cars are relatively cheap. Unlike say, a new Porsche, which is likely to be a second or third car, the Toyoburu is likely to be bought as a daily driver by a young man of modest to middling means.
Me too 1,000 percent. Thanks to Elon, I discovered just how nice the Polestar 2 is.
You’ve never been annoyed by constantly having to turn cruise control off and on driving on the expressway? I seldom use it at all because slower cars changing lanes in front of me aggravates me so much.
Well that’s just fucking stupid. I had to google this to be sure, but you had to have the navigation package just to stream audio over bluetooth! Another example of how Infiniti is completely fucking lost.
Unstable over 88 mph.
It shouldn’t make a difference, but sometimes you have things you can’t get past, even if they aren’t important.
Boy, you hit that nail on the head. It’s as if Elon has turned into the anti-King Midas: everything he touches nowadays turns to shit.
Who gives a shit?
