I know Blue Origin has its issues, and the space tourism stuff is basically silly, but aren’t they also doing real work beyond what, say, Virgin Galactic is doing, even if they’re not as serious as SpaceX (which is also doing tourist flights)?

This is the one of the strangest of Jalopnik takes, and that’s saying something.

“Im not buying it new, let all the suckers take the depreciation hit, and I’ll buy it a few years later. My plan it fullproof!”

You’ll only get beat up if you don’t bulk up like Tom Hardy’s Bane.

Prices of EVs are going up faster than incomes and inflation, but that’s the general trend in the car industry right now, anyhow. In fact, I can almost say every consumer good is going up in price without any real correction happening. As a metaphor, the Ceiling is getting higher, but the floor isn’t moving. Basic

Like what the hell is wrong with people who want the future to just look normal? This is the stuff I’ve been waiting for - people wearing masks or helmets but for perfectly fine reasons.

I don’t know what all the naysaying is about. This is a perfectly cromulent, entry-level Bane mask.

First, it doesn’t appear that there are any issues with demand for EVs. And it’s also doubtful that production can be significantly increased in the short term. Increasing demand by lowering prices wouldn’t result in more sales, so there is currently no incentive for manufacturers to reduce prices.

From the WaPost article:

Along with literally everything else?

They get a certain amount of good will for saving what remains of Lotus and its expertise, while still making the Emira and using that as a marketing lauchpad to build out the brand from there. Making this off the brand isn’t much different than Porsche making the Cayenne, while still using the 911 as it’s signature.

Yeah, if this allows the Emira to exist, I’m totally on board.

Finally an SUV for me!!!

Pretty sure it’s a Lambo, dude.

I really don’t understand why this is so much worse than so many of the cars we claim to love on here.

“Complicate, then add bloatedness”

I really don’t understand why this is so much worse than so many of the cars we claim to love on here.

I really hate this thing, but I’d rather see a Hummer EV over a coal rolling F350 brodozer with a Carolina squat that has never hauled a thing in its life.

Look at vehicles from the 40’s and 50’s before the low and long “wide track” era. They had a similar seating and ride height.
