Sounds like the guy just liked to party. And guns.

You missed a few other significant changes. Front seats will new be ventilated, there’s a new 9 speaker audio system available, and wheels go from 19" - 20" to 20" - 21".
As an owner of a current model, it’s not “sluggish” at all. The thing with EVs is that all that torque is available right away. It responds instantly, it just doesn’t have the same shove in the back like some other brand name EVs give you (that’s partly by design, too: VW designed it to ramp up power in a more…
The motor is more efficient (I understand the inverters are new, too, and also more efficient).
The more vehicles like this that are sold, the more high-speed chargers will get deployed. It’s good to get this tech out there now so it can both drive demand for these high speed chargers and also make use of them when they become available.
I saw that video. It’s weird how he was literally jizzing his pants over the changes but to the naked eye it’s almost nothing. Ventilated seats and an effort to reduce discomfort via road, wind, and suspension noise is nice, though. Everything else is either a big nothing or ten steps back (elimination of stalks).
Seriously. This is the biggest overhype in quite awhile. Styling wise, the “refresh” is barely distinguishable from the outgoing model. Only those with a Tesla spotter’s guide will be able to tell.
It’s an unfortunate coincidence, not an insensitive cultural thing. I mean, what if the guy’s last name was “Hotel” or something. Should all the hotels on the LV Strip change their names?
Rich people happily pay these high prices for limited editions so they can brag to their other rich friends that they have something their friends don’t have.
Based on what we know about current aircraft technology - including military aircraft - and the economics of commercial air travel, NASA must know something more than what is generally available.
Best car chase scene in cinema history.
I doubt Putin spends any time on his yachts lately. Too easy to dispose of his body at sea.
Availability is also an issue. You can go to a dealer today and actually buy one or more of those BEV models. The Rav4 Prime? Put a deposit down and hope you get one within the next three years.
This truck is edgy.
Moderation team = “If it’s for Republican candidates, it’s cool. If it’s for Democratic candidates, ban it.”
Let’s not also forget that a Rav4 Prime is almost the same price as many lower-end EVs of the same type, like a VW ID.4, Nissan Ariya, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, just to name a few. And those EVs typically have more incentives than the Prime.
Toyota: It’s more efficient to make more hybrids with limited battery resources than fewer BEVs.
They probably only concentrated on the cost of fuel. That’s the only way it works.
Wait, isn’t that how you’re supposed to do it?
Not necessarily. Driving 100 miles a day would be “a lot” to most people, yet most modern EVs can easily cover that distance by twice on one charge.
