I think it’s actually close to 7000 lbs, too. In fact, I just looked it up. The curb weight ranges from 6,000 lbs to 6,900 lbs.
Makes sense. Considering the Rivian weighs about 7000 ~ 8000 lbs, I doubt a “smaller” Hummer would be much ligher.
Guys, that was great. But, I gotta tell you...I coulda used more boat.
Sure, there’s those, but they don’t sell as well as regular, non-”coupe” sedans and SUVs. If Mazda wants to be a niche manufacturer, that’s fine, but the fact remains that their design language puts their vehicles at a utility disadvantage compared to most of the competition. And when most people can only afford one,…
True, but other than that and the cargo space, the Ioniq EV has virtually no competitive advantage over a Bolt/EUV. The Ioniq 5 has plenty of advantages, but also a much higher entry price.
You mean the Elton John special? They will for sure let you out the door with that.
Based on pricing, sure? But you can actually buy this car now, whereas you’ll probably end up waiting six months for that Corolla to be built, and then have the privilege of paying $5k on top of sticker.
Not to mention, there’s nothing really compelling about the Ioniq to make it more or less desirable than a Bolt/EUV.
Oh yeah, the Cavalier was a POS compared to the Japanese competition. IIRC, Toyota agreed to the deal to placate policymakers who were considering placing import caps on Japanese vehicles.
My mistake sir! I shall punish myself thusly!
Just needs to get from the mansion to the private hangar. These won’t be road tripping.
“Why don’t you just tell the name of the disease you think you have”
Neat. IIRC, several other EV makers are using recycled plastic in their fabrics, too.
These would be bomb. Bring back the dinner trays!
It seems like every company which produces anything with a computer chip is trying to build their own voice recognition system, 99% of them which are crap.
I’m glad to see Toyota bring the hybrid system to an expanded Corolla lineup. It was honestly baffling to me when they only made it available in the LE trim when other vehicles, like the Rav4 and Camry, had the hybrid available pretty much across the lineup.
@1st gear: the increasingly complex engine designs required to meet global fuel economy and emissions requirements give us recalls like Hyundai/Kia. As this complexity keeps creating more and more warranty issues, manufacturers are probably looking at EVs as a way to cut some of that warranty cost.
Thanks, Kinja, for turning videos into gray squares.
And how does this compare to say, a LearJet, which I can also afford?
