I have one! Same year, pretty much the exact same mileage, but mine is black over black, with the Nav and Alpine audio. I was thinking about listing it for ~$3-3.5k and since this one sold it looks like that’s in the right range

Tax credits have changed for 2024, as long as you aren’t above the income limit to take advantage of the credit, you get it off at the point of sale regardless of your tax liability

Slightly used Model 3 Performance? You can pick up a 2022 w/ like 15k miles for about ~$40k. No maintenance really (which you can budget towards the L322), incredible performance, assuming you can charge at home and set it up to charge off-peak it costs nearly nothing to run. Since the Model 3 is so common, there’s a

Fiat: “Wow our US sales are terrible! We might have to pull out of the North American market”
Fiat: Has decent small crossover lineup in Europe and doesn’t update North American products for almost a decade
Fiat: Releases 600e electric crossover roughly the size of a Jeep Renegade that would sell like hotcakes
Fiat: Yeah

That’s what I was planning on doing as well when I bought one, and you’re right it works fine when you enable that. Problem is, afaik, it doesn’t meet US Regs as an EV if the user has the option to enable the gas engine (hold mode)

The i3 highway usability depends on whether or not you had it Recoded to enable Hold mode. Afaik w/ US regs, having hold mode doesn’t let it meet the legal definition of being an EV. From testing an i3 in my (hilly) area, the REx is near enough useless without being coded to enable Hold SOC. On stock software where it

EV’s with Range Extenders in the US don’t legally count as EV’s (and therefore get no tax breaks) unless the fuel range is less than the EV range

There are some downsides thanks to tax purposes. The larger battery you have, the more expensive the car is and less room you have for a gasoline drive system. To legally qualify as an EV (w/ Range Extender) in the US, your Fuel range cannot be equal to or greater than your Electric range and (iirc) the user cannot

None of the XL-trimmed Ford trucks do oddly. Apparently, at least on the ranger and F150, you just add the button/swap the steering wheel and enable the feature through FORScan and there ya go. So if you *really* don’t want to step up into the XLT, it shouldn’t be too hard to add after the fact

The XL Ranger and F150 also do not come with cruise control. It’s just a standard “thing” for the XL versions of Ford’s pickups. Apparently it can be added (at least on h the Ranger and F150) by swapping out the steering wheel and enabling the feature via FORScan

Probably won’t be hard to add Cruise Control. The XL Ranger doesn’t get it either, but people have been adding it. Apparently you need to swap the steering wheel and enable the feature using FORScan

You’re kind of describing the Bronco Sport that the Maverick is based on. The rear seats fold flat and it has a hard rubberized flat load floor along with spray-down plastics in the rear (if I remember correctly). As for making the roof removable, i don’t think that’s going to happen. It’s why there’s no folding

Fiesta sales USA:

Had a project car I had acquired a few weeks beforehand. Previous owner said he thought the ECU or something was messed up because it didn’t want to start most of the time. I got it home, did a couple of things, got it running. During all of my diagnosis, I had the hood open on the car, and keep in mind this was late

The 03+ Saab 9-3 has a Vacuum pump and Power Steering pump run off of the camshafts. Luckily it uses a timing chain, but it’s a known problem that when the o-ring between the pumps and head inveitably break down, it floods the power steering system with engine oil and pours oil out from underneath the vacuum pump

I mean, if that’s the case, I’m actually okay with that. For argument’s sake, I’m going to assume they’ll up the displacement to 2.5L. I’m also going to assume that instead of the ~178hp it’ll make 200+ and more torque. The fuel economy will of course be lower, but as long as it can still stay in the 40's (down from

From a Corvair owner/lover... Honestly the Turbo isn’t worth it IMHO. Yeah, they do hit boost and you can feel it, but it’s honestly not much if any faster than a 4-carb in terms of daily driving (although I turbo may win on track or in a drag race). The turbo was really rudimentary without a wastegate or proper

Forewarning:I’m a sucker for Corvairs and completely agree with your decision to never sell it

  1. I live in the rural south, most people leave their keys in the ignition, forget about locking your car

As a multiple and longtime Saab owner, this brought a tear to my eye. I’ll never give up one the brand and will probably continue to hoard, repair, and restore them for the foreseeable future.
