It’s Indiana. What if the creator just cited concerns that maybe the buyer was a gay, libtard, or had an abortion? I haven't lived in Indiana for 15 years, but seems like those would all be valid reasons to get this thrown out.

That one was especially egregious. In addition to what you stated, they also assumed the Prius would be junked by 100,000 miles while the Hummer would have a lifetime of something like 500,000 miles, plus they amortized the development costs of the Prius while completely ignoring the development costs of the Hummer.

The best part of the paper was that the Prius could only go 100k miles but that Humme was good for 400k. When was the last time you saw a Hummer with 400k:)

And they are still pulling that crap with electric vehicles. And if the math still doesn’t work out for them with the cheats already in place, they’ll factor in a battery replacement or two. They also love to throw that into cost of ownership, as well.

Don’t do the oil at 10k, most of us Audi/VW fanboys change the oil much sooner.

That’s me. Left NYC and non-car-ownership after 12 years and moved to LA. The dealer experience was shockinglike something out of a badly scripted sitcom from twenty years ago. Went online and ordered a Model 3. The entire experience was seamless, and the things people gripe about (no physical buttons! huge panel

i had never put that connection together but the Tesla to Saturn comparison makes too much sense.

No, the real answer is to drive less and have more non-car options for getting around. I know that’s hard to accept. It’s not about changing tire compounds. It’s not about making lighter cars.

We have to rely less on cars. We have to build systems that don’t rely on cars. We have to retrofit our awful city designs to

OK, so hear me out... Maybe flying just... sucks? Like, it’s worse than greyhound in everything but speed and some of that speed is pretty well eaten up with having to get to the airport early, and it remains one of the most stress inducing ways to travel for anyone.

Honestly, I want to know all the normal things- how easy is it to haul weird bulky items? Will I feel bad if I take it to home depot and load it up with plants and rocks and dirt and mulch? How’s it for driving in traffic? If I’m driving with 3 friends and our luggage for a camping trip, will we still be friends at
