@Whitson Gordon: That is precisely what my dad made about 20 years ago in the garage to work on building an aircraft wing. Pulleys, rope, and one of those t-shaped boat tie down things. The whole workspace was about 12 feet long by 4 feet wide, and you could tie it down at any height. Really convenient.
