Dear Connecticut,

Bless your heart. We’re not giving them back.

Sincerely,

The absolute dejection in the NBCSN crew's voices after that goal was scored was lovely, it's addlepated dipshits all the way down with that lot.

when Bret Stephens steals this headline for his upcoming column on “loving climate change to trigger the libs” I hope you sue his ass

Eexcuse me while I get my rubber strap and syringe

My neighbors and I don’t know each other too well, so I’m looking forward to spending the next HOA meeting explaining why screaming “FUCK DON CHERRY” at midnight here in NC was totally apropos.

The Infinity Kidney Stones

You’re not wrong - fifty cross checks to the kidneys like that go unpenalized in every playoff game. Hockey refs have a bad habit of penalizing consequences instead of actions, so the fact Oshie fell down and hit the boards awkwardly is the only reason this was a penalty at all.

Did you write the lede last year and then spend this season in a coma? Seats are getting filled in Carolina now because, shocker, folks want to go see a good team, and the Islanders have that split between bad Barclays and better Whatever They Call Nassau Coliseum that’s working out pretty well until Belmont opens.

We know what measles and polio are and have known for quite some time. We know how to protect people against those diseases. We know what happens if we don’t protect people against them.

Refutation of point 1:

This young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, his deportation to the CFL and their refusal to accept him. I guess that’s more than most 26-year-olds can handle. Number two, Johnny “Football” Manziel.

That’s why I reference my ZIP +4. Wayyy more exclusive. Makes for awesome hand signals.

That’s all I cared about when I was diagnosed with a stage 3 glioblastoma in 2013. Brain surgery, radiation and more chemo than I care to remember and I’m still here...bitching about this goddamn never ending winter hell:)

Thank you for this. I got to know Alex a bit better during my original run in 2006 (pictured) and the 2007 ToC. As you noted, he did his job and did it well, but he wasn’t one to hobnob much with the contestants, and that was perfectly fine. The only time we really socialized with him at all was at the on-set

I grew up in Vermont, I now live a 30 minute drive from Raleigh. I’ve been to Canadians games, Rangers games, Bruins games, and a few Sharks games. All world class environments for hockey (even San Jose, honest!).

Well said, and very true... but also true for sports in general.
