I actually DID go on the offensive once and got my manager fired. It was surprisingly easy. My typical job week was running around keeping everything running while my fat cat PA boss smoked cigars, went to expensive lunches and schmoozed with upper management. Because my boss was so incompetent, he didn't actually

That's true of a lot of cars. You could hardly give away most late '60s muscle cars after the gas crisis, and many of them wound up painted in primer with rust holes plugged with newspaper and body filler. Now, a lot of those are well into 6 figures.

I just wanted to write that, but then I read your comment and just wanted to add to it.

take off the rear bumper!

I love sedans too, in fact last week I bought one! I'm actually expecting it to arrive tonight I'm very excited! My dream car is the Autozam AZ-1/Suzuki Cara...I hope California allows me to have one someday.

Haha yes and my 360 van is the same length as your sedan!

Haha. Yeah, and also: ran when parked, check engine light is on but it's just the gas cap, won't start but all it needs is a new battery. Oh and civic corolla jdm accord prius lexus acura ford mustang jeep audi lexus honda dishwasher garden gnome.

Seattle is not more segregated than Los Angeles. LA is one of the most segregated cities in the country.

Exactly. It's terrible here. It rains 11 months a year, and the one month it's sunny it's more humid than the Amazon. Portland is full of smelly hipsters, the mountains don't ever get snow, Bend doesn't actually exist, and you can't even get out of your car to pump your own gas in the rain because someone else does it

This explains why I always died before I made it to Oregon.

Cunning stunt!

Don't you mean leased popular post?

Which, while an interesting observation, is still anecdote. ETA: It's worth pointing out that at least some of those school superintendents could probably not be classified as "white liberals" in any meaningful sense of the word.

The blacks refuse to bootstrap them some privilege because they'd rather be thugs like Beyoncé.

Interesting stuff, Matt.

It's not often I learn anything of value on a Gawker site, so thanks for this, Matt.

I'm going to play a little devils advocate here.

When Oregon was granted statehood in 1859, it was the only state in the Union admitted with a constitution that forbade black people from living, working, or owning property there. It was illegal for black people even to move to the state until 1926...

That's like saying "People played football in America? No way!" At the end of an article giving lots of very detailed and specific insights into how the NFL came to exist.

It takes us a while to get nice things in the US, if we get them at all. *coughLevorgcough*
