Exactly. Not that most of my friends are very difficult people or anything, but on a trip like this it's often much better to have absolute freedom to go / do whatever you want. Same reason that while I enjoy skiing with a group, I often enjoy skiing solo even more!

Fair enough opinion, but it is really hard to argue that he didn't do that on purpose. He is an experienced rider, and yet took a terrible (non-competitive) line into that corner, looked straight at his competitor's bike, lined up and dumped the clutch.
