Of course I wasn't there to see it, but there is no indication of "panic braking" seen on the video in my opinion. It almost looks like he was braking, but thought "Hey, my camera is running, who cares" and plowed into the motorcycle.

Two lessons to be learned here:

Well if we want to get pedantic about the headline, they actually did cause the accident by trying to illegally cross a busy street like idiots. How were the cars in back even able to see the women and have enough time to gawk at them? The reason the accident happened is because the first car stopped short in an effort to let them cross the street, and the cars behind were following too close. Don't turn this into something it isn't.
