Exactly. I always thought with all the technology and medical advances we have, why isn't there some rinse or something out there that would just eliminate plaque, etc. but knowing if there was, the dentail industry would never allow it...

Same reason everything is priced like 24.95 or 24.99 instead of $25 for example. $199 appears cheaper whereas $205 crosses that awful $200 mark. Simple marketing.
