Mental health is the common excuse of abusive people these days. Getting harder to justify it using the old methods, and it’s easy to get people to feel sorry for you that way. Truth is, there’s no statistical correlation. That is, abusive people are no more likely to have mental disorders than non-abusive people.

I think you are becoming more of an a-hole yes. I am all for taking personal responsibility of our lives and working hard to achieve the life we want to live, and not waiting around for others just just give us things because that’s not how it works, and I am concerned about the victim mentality that many people adopt

Where were you vilified for buying from amazon? Or is it your own guilty conscience that vilifies you when they report on it?

Please point to me where the article said it hated amazon. Please point to me where it says that they themselves are boycotting. Please point where it tells us we should boycott. Then I will see your point.

This! lmao

Kotaku is not a hive mind. Kotaku writers have been known to disagree and even criticize each other’s takes. And it isn’t clear to me that the author is criticizing the concept as a whole. It seems more like he’s highlighting some recent examples of when the pop off thing has gotten out of hand in a recent tournament.

I think that has more to do with how you read it. I didn’t get any of that. I got exactly what the headline said, that they laid off employees. I think that maybe because of who wrote the post, people already expect something scandalous. Maybe because I didn’t see the author so I had no expectations going in about

I think we should still be concerned, while recognizing it isn’t exclusive to amazon. Just because something is normal doesn’t mean it’s not concerning.

That does not change the fact that they are being laid off. There are 0 takes in this article. It’s just a report on factual information. But people are still upset lol.

You guys are getting really ridiculous with this clickbait thing. Back in the days, clickbait was something like this: “You won’t believe the reason why amazon just fired dozens of game developers.”

It’s also the ethos of Shut Up and Jam Barkley: Gaiden in a single line—every silly joke and offhand idea became a joke of some sort, and therefore canon

Of course everyone can make games if they want to, that is their right as a citizen of the free world and I wouldn’t take it away from them. But who is going to play all those games? Think about it, think about how many games there already are on steam. Think of all the shovelware and shitty games and games no one

Even most normal people aren’t really interested in their education.

As in, does he believe the government should seize all means of production and displace the entire public sector? (actual traditional socialist)

I’ve seen him from before once or twice. Seems pretty cool to me. His takes are unapologetically socialist but also very reasonable and his tone doesn’t seem preachy or assholey. It has been a while, but that is what I remember to be my impression.

Me and my girl love the stuff. Then again in all honesty, we’re both pretty bougie.

There are enough games in the world already . Sometimes we just dont need another one. I think less people should be making games. Much less maybe than currently are. So those that devote their efforts to bringing an old game back to life are doing the more necessary work imo. We don’t necessarily need much in terms

Caaaalm down, I don’t think anybody’s claiming that. I think people are liking his consideration of other people. It’s a gesture. No one asked him to do this (at least, not seriously) he just did it and people appreciate that he did it. I don’t think anyone is calling him a hero for it they just feel he’s being

The unemployment rate doesn’t mean anything to real people in the world. Are there jobs where you live, right now, that are willing to hire you and pay you a living wage? That’s the real question. Because many of the employed people who make up the other side of that statistic...they work for Uber and Lyft... The
