What you really mean is, let New York and California have all the say and everyone else may as well fuck off, because the coastal elites clearly know what is best for everyone

There is a specter haunting America, the specter of socialism.

Yeah I had no thought of “ha ha! she deserves it.” And I was hoping I wouldn’t encounter it in the comments section. I guess I shouldn’t read too much of it. I feel like the internet encourages people to do that kind of stuff. They probably wouldn’t be able to look her in the face and tell her she should be homeless,

No one is doing 13 years. They’ll get out on good behavior in 1/3rd of the time.

Personally, I think the judge was making an example out of these people, both in the sense of what he feels the state’s stance should be on hate crimes and racial intimidation, and also in the sense of if you don’t cut a deal with the state you will pay for it. Because compare it to all those who cut deals.

That’s a good look Georgia, a good look.

Which I’m sure was shocking to them, as it was to me.

I was thinking about coping one myself just yesterday.

Exactly.

You do good work Cecilia. You’re on your way to surpassing Fahey and becoming my fave on here.

Of course you are, I feel terrible for everyone involved except the Moonlight people, even whoever handed him the wrong envelope (unless he did it on purpose).

I feel awful for them. When the guy said “we lost by the way” that broke my heart lol. But yeah though I think that reaction wouldn’t be realistic as they have reputations to uphold, they were classy about it. Especially the other half bald guy, the one who took the mic and showed the card, he the real MVP.

Because the world is bigger than you are.

To be fair, 2Chainz is a hip hop artist and most people who don’t listen to hip hop know about hip hop artists that don’t make pop songs, so it’s probably not a do you live under a rock type thing.

Same generation, only I went to school in the hood and we didn’t have macbooks.

I know two people that actually do drive for uber part time. I don’t think they woudl describe it as incredibly profitable.

I’m pretty anti-capitalism/anti-corporatism but this is the kind of shit I do like. I feel like in this country, sticking your neck out for people of color could be as much bad publicity as it can be good publicity. So, while the motives behind this may or may not be just be purely for material interests, I think it

That makes sense to me. Thanks for the breakdown DrHarford.
