Yea, I cannot see how this improves anything over a countersunk/bored screw with a solid finish end cap/plug. Very neat, but answering a question no one was asking.
Maybe a good use for finishing caps on high end furniture or Electronic hardware, but I can’t really see this catching on as more than a novelty.

How do you get salmonella in that many whole onions? Bags of chopped onions I can understand, one bad apple onion can contaminated many others. Or are they washed beforehand and was the washing water contaminated?

The main problem, not that they are serious about this being a useful moon tool, is that spacesuits have crap mobility. It would be doubtful an astronaut would even be able to swing a leg over it it. Even with more modern space suits, a motorcycle makes very little sense.
