I didn’t mean to imply that syn-fuel will or should be implemented instead of electric cars. There are clear advantages to a purely electric personal transportation system, but there are glaring disadvantages as well.

There is no shortage of stories of electric vehicles spontaneously combusting. I imagine that we’ll

It seems to me that if this was scaled up and run by governments the price could be lower per gallon than petro fuel.

This makes so much more sense than a fully electric infrastructure for the reasons you mentioned. We’ve got a liquid fuel distribution infrastructure that spans the globe already. I don’t see any

That’s exactly how Tucker likes it too. Along with Trump’s mushroom peen stuck in his ear.

That’s not how property ownership works. When you buy property you’re legally bound to it. If you abandon it you’re still legally responsible for it.

Being a non-US citizen I wonder if he’ll try and wriggle out of the bill the city will send him.

It’s almost like you didn’t read the article at all. Denzel was clearly talking about the literal devil and the god and prayer. It’s all there in the article for you to read.

That was a fantastic read. Thanks for sharing it.

I’ve been a passenger on the roads in and around Mumbai and it was the most terrifying experience of my life.

Looking at cars for sale on Craiglist seems to indicate that maybe Carvana is responsible at least in part for the insane used car market prices. It seems they own around half of the cars for sale already.

This is a perfect answer to the question “Tell me you’re a giant asshole without saying a word”. Jesus, what an eyesore. Stupid just to show how stupid you can be.

That made me laugh out loud. Thanks. I actually scrolled up to make sure I hadn’t missed something, but you were right.

No, Dirka’s statement of disagreement is distinctly different than a person actively flouting the law based on flawed logic and misunderstanding. Dirka disagrees with the law and the Supreme Court’s decision on DUI checkpoints, but isn’t proposing that people refuse to comply with them. Pretty big difference. The

Good luck with getting out of the grays. Is there a lottery or something? I’m out of the grays on Gizmodo (lucky timing with an admin getting me out), but I’m sure I’ll be in the grays forever here. Ah well.

As to your point, I agree. The US military would be a great place to use carbon neutral fuels, assuming that we

My technique for stupidly big styrofoam packing material is to bust it into pieces that will fit in a large garbage bag and pour about 4 ounces of acetone into the bag, tie the top tight and set it outside for a day. The acetone eventually melts the styrene down into a chunk that’s easy to fit in my garbage can. It’s

There are starch based packing foam materials available now. Not sure they’re safe to use as animal feed, but they do compost.

Better manufacturers have switched to molded paper pulp packaging. I think it’s likely heavier (costs more to ship) and costs more to produce, but can be recycled or even composted. The best way to get manufacturers to ditch styrofoam is to ban it’s import and manufacture where possible. That and maybe publicly shaming

The person responsible should be forced to drive that abomination for the rest of their lives. It’s an affront to Jaguar and cars in general. They should probably be referred for a mental health evaluation as taste that awful is surely an indication of something horrifying lurking below. No fucking dice, no fucking

There’s an example in a nearby “big city” for half the price of this one, no dice. And why Oregon plates if it’s a California car?

Maybe it was all the assholes I had the displeasure of dealing with today, but this is the dumbest thing I’ve seen in a while. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. The effort and materials used to create this would have been better used creating any number of less idiotic eyesores.

It looks like someone took a Chevy Equinox and beat it with a cyber sledgehammer.

I don’t know how that qualifies as an SUV. The ground clearance is pretty minimal. It’s a fat tall wagon in my opinion. I guess that’s true of most SUV’s these days, but most vehicles described as such have a bit more ground clearance.
